Temple Complex

Moscow Vedic Culture Center will embody the best traditions of ancient temple complexes. The central altar hall will be used for Deity worship and fire sacrifices according to the tradition. The gallery and the planetarium will introduce the guests to the ancient and modern Vedic art, and will also vividly depict the structure of the Universe and the words beyond it, as described in the Vedas.  

Asram

Asram is a traditional Vedic monastery. Monks conduct temple rites, give lectures on the main Vedic scriptures, advise the congregation, and conduct temple excursions. They also take active part in charitable programs. Living in an asram allows one not only to develop a deep understanding of the Vedic philosophy, but also to acquire such qualities as mercy, patience, compassion, and perseverance in the face of difficulties.

Pilgrim quarters

For those willing to a partake in the Vedic culture there will be special guest quarters in the temple complex. Pilgrims from Russia, India, and other countries will be able to come for education and temple worship.

Social programs

Moscow Vedic Culture Center will become the outpost of the charitable mission "Food for Life". Its volunteers starting from 1988 distributed more than one million of complete vegetarian meals to the poor, including the disabled, the elderly, orphans, blind children, victims of wars, and many other people in need. At the Center a vegetarian cafe will be opened and the cooking classes will be conducted for those willing to learn.

Educational center

The Vedas encompass all aspects of human life. At the Moscow Center different educational programs will be held covering such topics as Vedic philosophy, astrology, cooking, psychology, and self-improvement. Lectures will be given not only by the Russian specialists, but also traditional teachers from India and other countries.

Vedic library

Vedic library will allow a wide range of readers to access the treasury of the Vedas including collected works of Vedic canon, their translations and commentaries, and also the works of the modern researchers of Vedic culture.

Cultural center

In cooperation with the Cultural Center of the Indian Embassy in Russia, here will be held the evenings of Indian dance, theater, music. Numerous Vedic holidays will also be celebrated here.

Indian medicine center

Indian medicine, Ayurveda, allows to reveal the inner causes of illnesses and remedy them, making the whole body healthier in the process. At the Moscow Vedic Culture Center one could take health treatments, get an appointment of an Ayurvedic doctor, and discover new aspects of traditional yoga.
