1971 A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a great expert of the Vedas, a philosopher, and a saint of India, arrived to Moscow with a 5-day visit.
1988 The official registration of the Moscow Society for Krishna Consciousness, the first religious organization granted a registration in the USSR since the Second World War.
1990 г. Moscow authorities grant a building in an emergency condition at Begovaya Street to use as a temple. Devotees repair the building by themselves. The first Hindu Temple in USSR is established in Moscow.
1990-2000 Krishna Temple at Begovaya Street becomes the charity center and the only place of worship for the Indian community.
2003 The Temple building gets in the way of the new apartment building and is subject to demolition by the decision of the Moscow City Government.
2004 The Temple building is demolished.
2004 To compensate for the demolished building a new plot of land is granted on Leningradskiy Prospect. The Temple moves into a temporary building on the new land.
2005 The Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov cancels his decision to grant the new plot for the construction of the new Temple on Leningradskiy Prospect.
2006 In the British Parliament there were held hearings on the destruction of a Hindu temple in Moscow.
2006 The Mayor of Moscow and the Chief Minister of Delhi signed a joint declaration: "The government of Moscow will take the necessary measures to resolve the issue of granting land to the Moscow Society for Krishna Consciousness for temple construction".
2007 The Moscow City Government makes a decision about constructing a new Temple in Molzhaninovskiy Region of Moscow, Novoskhodnenskoye Highway, near Vereskino Village.
